Sammy recently has started vocally coaching me and it’s been awesome! I’ve learned a lot already in our lessons. He has helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses. I now know I want to major in Musical Theatre and Sammy has definitely helped me recognize my potential as a vocalist. I can’t wait to see my growth in the next months! An awesome teacher!

Samantha Rios - The Voice Kids, Semi-finalist Top 12
"There are two things about Sammy that struck me as unforgettably impressive. One is how kind he is to his students and the positive learning environment he creates for his students. I wasn't afraid to make mistakes and just go for it---a MUST if I'm serious about improving. The other was the breadth and depth of his knowledge on singing, down to the tiny details. Seriously, folks, this guy knows what he's talking about."

"Sammy is a professional and highly talented teacher. He has a solid background and is an extremely pleasant person."
Luiz Machado - Ambassador of Brazil to the United States
"Sammy Huh has already established himself as an elegant and passionate performer in the much heralded Maryland Opera Studio. He has sung leading roles to high acclaim, been asked to entertain for the University’s President, and has distinguished himself as an artistic apprentice. His understanding of vocal pedagogy is fundamentally sound, and his knowledge of repertoire extensive. He has been a shining light at both the Juilliard School and the University of Maryland. He is a young vivacious talent on the rise, both as performer and teacher."
Gran Wilson - Professor, Voice
University of Maryland, College Park
"Sammy, let me say your lessons were so important to put me back on a sound technical track, after so many years away from singing.
Thank you very much for your dedication."
Kenneth Nobrega - Brazilian Diplomat to the United States
"Sammy has been extremely helpful in helping me hone my voice skills. I had no experience in singing, but with his instruction I progressed much faster than I could have expected. He has experience with multiple genres and is very responsive to the individual needs of the student.
I would recommend him for any aspiring vocalist."

I just wanted to send you a message thanking you for the serious wealth of knowledge you provided us the other week. It was inspiring and informative and I really feel like I have a better understanding of how to move the ball forward every day once (and even before) I'm out in the real world. Thanks again and I hope we see you around some more!
Noah C. - Vocal Performance Major at University of Maryland, College Park
"Sammy is an incredible teacher - I have only recently started working with him and already, I feel such a difference in my voice. He has really shown me new levels of technique and how to project my voice in a healthy way. He also gives me great repertoire that fits my voice very well - great teacher!"
Andres M. - Silver Spring, Maryland
Even though I have only been working with Sammy Huh for a short time, I already know that he is one of the best instructors I have had in any discipline. Not only does he have years of experience in many different kinds of vocal music, but also he really knows how to guide a student through the process of learning a new technique, song, or vocal exercise. By the end of our first lesson together I was able to comfortably reach notes I normally had a difficult time with and by our second lesson I was able to hit notes that I had rarely, if ever, sung before. Furthermore, Sammy is a very passionate, encouraging, and caring teacher, and that contributes so much to the progress you can make while learning from him. He is excited to help you with any aspect of your voice and any type of music you want to sing, and has plenty of suggestions if you are unsure, as I was. Overall, Sammy is an amazing teacher and I feel so lucky that I have had the chance to take lessons from him!

"I am thrilled with the quality of instruction I've received from Sammy. From the instant I met him he was cordial and enthusiastic, asking me questions as to what I wanted to learn and any goals I might have for our lessons. He is full to the brim with musical knowledge, sharing techniques and insight that I had never gotten before, despite my own background in classical music. Always professional, Sammy just wants to see you succeed and achieve the goals you place for yourself. He's probably one of the best music teachers I've ever had the pleasure of studying under."
Maria S. - Silver Spring, Maryland
Sammy is truly an excellent music instructor -- his professionalism, talent, and skill are truly top notch. He has an infectious enthusiasm that energizes you to be better and to reach your goals efficiently. I have a number of years of experience with singing already, so I asked him to be a little aggressive in my instruction at my first lesson. He took that request and ran with it, and so I've noticed an even bigger improvement than I thought possible after only a few lessons! I would definitely recommend Sammy for anyone interested in developing their singing skill and confidence in a big way.
